Mobile App Subscriptions
Subscriptions purchased through our mobile apps are managed differently from web subscriptions.
Platform-Specific Management
iOS (Apple App Store)
If you subscribed through the iOS app:
- Payments are processed through Apple
- Manage your subscription in iOS Settings โ [Your Name] โ Subscriptions
- Cancellation must be done through the App Store
- Pricing may differ from web due to Apple's 15-30% platform fee
Android (Google Play Store)
If you subscribed through the Android app:
- Payments are processed through Google Play
- Manage your subscription in Google Play Store โ Menu โ Subscriptions
- Cancellation must be done through Google Play
- Pricing may differ from web due to Google's 15-30% platform fee
Cross-Platform Access
Regardless of where you purchased your subscription, you can access your account features on any platform (web, iOS, or Android). Your subscription follows your account, not the device.
Switching Platforms
To switch from a mobile subscription to a web subscription (or vice versa):
- Cancel your current subscription through the original platform
- Wait for the current billing period to end
- Subscribe again through your preferred platform
Profile Assignments
Many subscription plans allow you to manage multiple profiles under a single subscription. This is useful for teams, families, or managing different use cases.
Managing Profile Assignments
Access the Profile Assignments tab in your subscription management page to:
- View all profiles associated with your subscription
- Add new profiles (up to your plan's limit)
- Remove profiles that no longer need access
- Transfer subscription benefits between profiles
Profile Limits
Different plans have different profile limits. Check your plan's features to see how many profiles you can manage. This information is displayed as a sub-feature in the plan details.
Profile assignments are perfect for:
- Small teams sharing a subscription
- Family members with individual profiles
- Managing different projects or workspaces
- Separating personal and business use
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change my plan after subscribing?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
What happens if my payment fails?
If a payment fails, we'll retry the charge and send you an email notification. You'll have a grace period to update your payment method. If payment continues to fail, your subscription may be suspended.
Can I get a refund?
Refund policies vary. Generally, we don't provide refunds for partial billing periods, but you can cancel at any time to prevent future charges. Contact support for specific cases.
How do I update my payment method?
For web subscriptions, you can update your payment method through the Stripe customer portal. For mobile subscriptions, update payment methods in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
What's the difference between monthly and yearly billing?
Monthly billing charges you every month. Yearly billing charges you once per year and saves you approximately 2 months worth of subscription fees (around 17% discount).
Will I be notified before renewal?
Yes, you'll receive email notifications before your subscription renews, giving you time to make any changes or cancel if needed.
Can I transfer my subscription to another account?
Subscriptions are tied to specific user accounts and generally cannot be transferred. However, you can use profile assignments to share access with other users under your subscription.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your account and data remain intact after cancellation. You may lose access to certain premium features, but your data is preserved. You can resubscribe at any time to regain full access.
Why is mobile pricing different from web pricing?
Apple and Google charge platform fees (15-30%) for subscriptions purchased through their app stores. To maintain the same revenue, mobile subscription prices are typically higher than web prices.
Can I pause my subscription?
We don't currently offer subscription pausing. You can cancel your subscription and resubscribe later when you're ready to use the service again.
